Tucked
away in a hidden valley, this small Boutique
resort offers discriminating travelers the opportunity
to connect with both Nature and Lao culture.
There is a small village that’s reached
by walking down a path from the resort. The
resort has a very friendly relationship with
all of the locals. The manager of the resort,
Markus, is fluent in Laotian and is a well-respected
figure in the local community. He helps them
out on a regular basis and employs them whenever
possible.
The
wood used in this resort came from old houses.
Markus bought a few old wooden houses and took
them apart. He cleaned up the wood and turned
the old wood into works of art. Attention to
details is obvious here.
You
don’t have to sacrifice luxury. All rooms
are very charming and impeccably clean. Each
room has an outdoor shower and an indoor bath
tub. Local works of art adorn each room.
To
get to this resort from Luang Prabang, you travel
down a fairly rough road. When you get near
however, it switches to a four-wheel drive road.
This was done on purpose. It makes you feel
more remote and even a bit adventurous.
Enjoy
these images of the resort and just imagine
what it would be like if you were using all
of your senses.

Cozy little chalets
fashioned into the landscape

Large and comfortable,
the beds are a dream

If you want a

Soft hues and

Nothing beats
an outdoor shower
